Bellavita Awards London 2019 saw Bibanesi breadsticks from Da Re winning the prize for best food product, and La Galvanina’s organic ginger beer winning best beverage. Sessa 1930’s lemon Sfogliatella Riccia was named Chefs’ Choice, while Most Innovative Product was presented to Rogelfrut’s Bio Strawberry Puree. The Taste Good Award went to Bono’s Il Sole olive oil, Pastificio dei Campi’s Spaghetti Di Gragnano IGP was awarded Best Brand Identity, and Tenuta Pietramora’s Morellino di Scansano Petramora won Best Mediterranean Wine - Sommeliers' Choice.
With a panel of 300 judges - including experts, top buyers, importers, head chefs and sommeliers - Bellavita Awards is the leading international programme in the Italian F&B industry. The best products showcased at Bellavita Expo London 2019 were judged on a scale from 4 to 10 according to 6 criteria: taste, packaging and branding, story, innovation, sustainability and UK market relevance.
Finally, equally noteworthy, JC Mackintosh’s Andalusian smoked wild bluefin tuna loin receiving the inaugural Ibérica Awards prize for Best Spanish Product, with Linda Drinks’ Linda Tomate with wasabi juice drink receiving Most Innovative Spanish Product.
