Azienda Vinicola Canella Spa was founded in 1947, by Luciano Canella in San Donà di Piave and continues to this day under the guidance of his four children. Born out of a love of winemaking innovations and new bottling technology, the company thrives on creating classic taste combinations with traditional family values.

Popular initially in Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, the company thrived rapidly, winning their first award in 1994, for their Prosecco D.O.C which was awarded the Gold Medal (“Gran Medaglia d’Oro”) at VinItaly as the best Charmat method sparkling wine. Before growing further international recognition in Canada, Japan, Australia and the United States. In addition, both “Wine Enthusiast” and “The Washington Post” selected Canella Prosecco as their Best Buy and Editor’s Choice recognising the supreme quality and taste from Canella's flavour combinations.
