As part of Bellavita Expo London 2019 ’s comprehensive programme of panel discussions, a debate with leading wine importers and distributors will take place on the BeWine stage at 14:30 on the 7th November, on the subject of “What points of difference are Italian and Mediterranean wines offering wine buyers and sommeliers in terms of price, quality, styles and stories?”
Thanks to the support of Vinitaly , this year’s London exhibition will offer guests its largest ever range of wines from across the Mediterranean. For the first time, alongside classic Italian vintages, there will be wines to taste from Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and, thanks to Bellavita’s co-location with Ibérica Expo , a range from Spain.
Panellists joining this discussion will be: Chris Carson , co-founder of Carson & Carnevale, Nik Darlington , co-founder of Graft Wine, Jason Millar , retail director at Theatre of Wine, Rebecca Palmer , head wine buyer at Corney & Barrow and Matt Smith , wine buyer for Fields, Morris & Verdin. Richard Siddle , editor-in-chief of The Buyer and Bellavita Expo Ambassador, will chair.
The panel session will give each contributing buyer the chance to share their experiences working with and buying from the different regions across Italy and the Mediterranean, significant products they see as being particularly in demand and price points. Guests will also have the opportunity to ask panellists their own questions at the end of the discussion.
Bellavita Expo continues to be the UK’s premier trade show for F&B; professionals seeking the best products coming out of the Mediterranean. As well as wine, there are a number of other themed areas to discover more about the best that Italy and the Mediterranean have to offer in food and wine, with producers and sommeliers on hand to guide guests through tastings, while further masterclasses in food pairings will bring these elements together for an all-inclusive Mediterranean experience.
