Angelo Accadia, painter and sculptor, winemaker since 1983.
In the early eighties he moved from the city of Milan to a country estate on the hills of Marche region, looking for new art expressions, and he found it in wine.
Angelo works only on local grapes, to makes wines that are first of all expression of the land. The winery is located in the Castle of Serra San Quirico, in the heart of the oldest area of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi production. Angelo today is recognized as one of the most expert in Verdicchio production. From the beginning he has always handle every step of the production in person, from the managing of the vineyards to the winemaking process in the cellar, arriving to have a remarkable confidence with the Verdicchio grapes.
Accadia’s wines are characterized of a big personality. The grape selection, the time of harvest, low yields of grapes, together with the distinctive nature of the terroir, lead to expressive wines, of character and of the absolute highest quality.
Today Angelo is supported by his daughter Evelyn. Togheter they have created a new wine line, the “Watecolors collection”, which came up beside the historic “Angelo Accadia selection”.
