The first bottling process that would bring the water from the Bauda Sources to people's homes began in 1961 when the company "Calizzano Mineral Water" was established. In March 1962, it was officially recognised as mineral water by the Ministry of Health.
Today, Calizzano SRL expanded to the international market, exporting to 13 countries located in different parts of the globe, from North America to Oceania and Asia. Currently, Fonti Bauda is classified as "low TDS (Total Dissolved Solids)" water thanks to its mineral residue of only 43.4 mg/l and is considered highly diuretic. The company employs around thirty people, almost all residing in Calizzano – a peculiarity pursued by the company since its foundation to help develop the local territory. Calizzano Mineral Water is bottled in 82 different labels and is used to produce carbonated soft drinks in its plant which covers an area of approximately 11,000 square meters.
Clean energy. Environmental protection
With a strong awareness of environmental issues, in 2011, we installed a photovoltaic system of approximately 450 kWp in our plant. Spreading over 80% of the roof surface of the plant, it covers approximately 75% of its energy needs and saves 350 tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
Our Quality
Calizzano Mineral Water is a certified company, inspected in all the production phases. ISO 9001-2015 certified, Kosher certified. Another key feature of the company is the attention to the packaging. We use a 100% PET preform and a cap free of BPA and other heavy metals to guarantee the purity and conservation of the organoleptic properties; an added value that makes our product an Italian excellence.
Calizzano Mineral Water cares for child health
After a long clinical trial at a Milanese paediatric institution, in 2007, Fonti Bauda water obtained the ministerial label of “suitable for infants”, which means it can be safely used for the preparation of infant formulas.

Because of its neutral characteristics, it is suitable throughout the whole meal.
Not only water...
The main product offered is mineral water in the still, slightly sparkling and sparkling variants, marketed under the “Calizzano – Fonti Bauda” brand and other proprietary labels, primarily intended for foreign markets.
The packaging comes in different formats: glass bottles (100 cl, 70 cl, 40 cl) and PET bottles (150 cl, 100 cl, 50 cl). Along with the bottling of mineral water, Calizzano produces carbonated soft drinks in 8 different flavours (Lemon, Chiara, Orange Soda, Chinotto, Ginger Ale, Grapefruit, Dogwood, Citron) and two different packaging types: 100 cl glass bottle and 150 cl PET bottle.
All our drinks are made with pure sugar and those that contain orange have 20% juice minimum.

Adding a new brand to the product line, consolidated by almost 60 years of experience and certified quality, will surely contribute to open new opportunities in a market where competitors aim at the lowest price for the sale of similar products. We ensure excellent earnings (EBITDA), low transport costs and, above all, satisfaction of the final consumer, confirmed by our numbers: 210 among dealers and wholesalers and an annual production of about 70,000,000 bottles of water and soft drinks.

Calizzano Mineral Water "Fonti Bauda" has decided to enrich its portfolio of products with two new glass bottles, "PIN-UP 700" and "PIN-UP 400", designed specifically for the hospitality industry market, especially for Italian businesses who want to stand out from the crowd and provide an added value to their food&drink offer with a unique and recognisable packaging style. The team of designers have found the right balance between traditional corporate values and the necessary morphological elegance for the new PIN-UP bottle. The product image favours brand awareness and gives customers a familiar, elegant and modern feeling. The minimal graphic design of the label enhances the general quality of the packaging, helping to render the image exclusive. The metallic colours – grey for the sparkling version and bronze for the still one – ensure a unique style.
