Tenuta Musone - Cantina Colognola

The Winery Colognola is the feather in the cap of the Azienda Agricola Tenuta Musone. Mr. Walter Darini, a well-known entrepreneur of the Vallesina area, between years 2010 and 2011 has bought 75 hectares of land in the locality of the municipality of Cingoli that gives the name to the Winery, Colognola. 

We are at 400 meters above sea level, overlooking a valley that arrives to the Monte Conero. This creates a really unique microclimate, which in combination with the extremely calcareous soils, guarantees the production of selected wines and an excellent extra virgin olive oil. 

The Company is in constant evolution and expansion, thanks to a young working team and the investments of Mr. Walter Darini. Today, the wineyards cover an area of 33 hectares, spilt between Verdicchio (90%) and Montepulciano (10%) grapes. 

 

The Company philosophy can be simply summarized in the attempt of transferring accurately our territory into the glass, producing typical wines with great character. We believe that enology should be at the service of the main ingredient, the grape, guarantying the best processing of the bunches of grape, monitoring carefully the fermentation and the evolution of the wines. This philosophy leads to a winery equipped with inert technology from the pressing phases, and to tanks made in stainless steel for the white wines, in order to preserve in the different labels, the characteristics of the grapes that give rise to the wine: age, yield, exposure of the vineyard and grape harvest. The main aim of the Company is to produce typical wines with great quality, safeguarding the environment and the common health, and using the latest technical knowledges for a smart and healthy farming and enology, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Territory, tradition and technique; these are the three words with which we can describe our work.
