The Bargilli Cialda was born in 1936, when Orlando decided to take over a bakery in his hometown Montecatini Terme in Tuscany. Thanks to his intuition and inspiration, he personalised a traditional mid-European bisquit, creating a unique Tuscan wafer which enchants the palate. This genuine delicacy maintains it’s flavor and values thanks to artisanal production. The Bargilli family always places emphasis on the greatest care of quality. Therefore each piece of machinery and equipment used today has been carefully planned by Paolo Bargilli himself, having all made to his requirements by specialised technicians. Indicating how much the Original Bargilli Cialda has contributed to the fame of the thermal town Montecatini, the municipality has conferred upon the family Bargilli only the honour of impressing Montecatini’s coat-of-arms both on the Cialda and their packaging.
