Castel Ruggero Pellegrini

The first territorial urbanization of Castel Ruggero dates back to Roman times, more precisely from the Hellenistic period, in the second half of the II century. B.C. The settlement was then adjacent to the main Etruscan-Roman roadway, which more or less corresponds to the current Via di Castel Ruggero, which from Capannuccia runs along the villa to then descend to Meleto and ascend towards Sezzate.

The main product that is made on the farm is the DOP Chianti Classico Ruggente Oil, our national and international flag, thanks to the various awards obtained.
