Cicioni is a blend of almonds and cashew nuts which undergo a careful fermentation process. It is an extraordinary product because it is made exclusively of nuts.
CICIONI is the combined outcome of the individual missions of EuroCompany, a business specialised in the marketing of dried fruit, and Daniela Cicioni, a vegan and raw food chef. Starting from the concept of aged cheeses, which she first spoke about at an Identità Golose Congress in 2014, Daniela literally “invented” a product whose appearance is similar to that of cheese, though it is prepared with natural ingredients not derived from animals.
Daniela set out to enhance the properties of a product which, in its simplicity, provides both the element of taste, thanks to the nuts, and that of health, as shown by the fermentation process involved in its preparation.
The chef wanted to show that tasty products, including those meant to be eaten at home, can be made without necessarily having to use ingredients that are harmful to our health. This creation has given her the chance to express her bond with nature and cooking, with an eye towards health considerations as well.
