The Modena Ham Consortium was established in 1969; the intense activity carried out by the producers and the undisputed quality of the product have allowed the coveted recognition, at European level, of the protected designation of origin (DOP).
The constant search for quality is a rewarding strategy also in economic terms, as it is capable of opening up new markets.
The activity of the Consortium is aimed at the protection, promotion and enhancement of Modena Ham, and in particular at maintaining and safeguarding the organoleptic and nutritional characteristics of the product, to provide the consumer with the guarantees of healthiness and genuineness required from a typical product.
