Fontefico is an organic boutique winery that always ensures an exceptional quality, with a strong focus on producing highly territorial wines from the local Montepulciano, Pecorino and Aglianico varieties.
In 1996, the Altieri brothers bought an ancient estate located on the beautiful Gulf of Vasto, along the Abruzzo coast.The fresh winds from the sea provide the perfect climate, and while our estate covers about 15 hectares, the wines are selected from only 3 hectares. Each wine comes from a specific vineyard, for its own unique, and unrepeatable characteristics. This is the basis of our production philosophy, which focuses on the careful selection of each element of the wine: The right vineyard, for the right selection of each cluster of grapes.
