Un locandiere, al risveglio di Venere, affascinato dalla sua bellezza, volle riprodurre l’ombelico riempiendo e ripiegando un pezzo di pasta sfoglia dando così origine al tortellino.

The tradition of the true Bologna tortellino, also called the “navel of Venus”, celebrated for its taste and its legends, such as Tassoni's "Secchia Rapita" (stolen bucket).

An inn-keeper, captivated by the beauty of the newly awoken Venus, wanted to reproduce her navel, filling and folding a piece of pasta dough, producing the first tortellino.
