The history of our family is intertwined with that of the Garda oil. The first branch is that of my grandfather Mario, who at the beginning of the 20th century was responsible for the oil mill in a Venetian villa. Then it was up to my father Umberto who opened the oil mill and the shop in Cisano di Bardolino in 1963. Right where now there is the museum with the shop. The first customers were tourists from northern Europe who came to Italy to admire the beauty of Lake Garda, and the vacationers who in the years of the economic boom were granted a holiday at the lake. In the 80s the opening of the Museum, the change of name of the oil on the labels, from Cisano Extra to a more brandworthy Museum, and the new generation. I joined the company first to work with my parents, then to lead the business, together with my wife Liliana. And now it’s up to me to watch the new generation at work, with my daughter Alessia
