Salpa

SALPA Srl of Capellupo C. & C. (formerly S.A.L.P.A. SnC) is located in the municipality of Petronà, on the slopes of Sila Piccola, in the province of Catanzaro; it has been operating in the agri-food market for 30 years and, as a Capellupo family, in the mushroom and chestnut sector, for over 50 years. The main and initial objective of the company was the processing and marketing of fresh and dried wholesale mushrooms and chestnuts; it was therefore a seasonal job, linked to the period of production of the goods. Subsequently, from the late 1980s, work diversification was undertaken, extending the processing also to other soil products (tomatoes, olives, aubergines, etc.), inserting a production line of canned food in jars in oil, and also, again with mushrooms, the range of frozen foods and buckets in small and medium-cut sachets.
