Sicilsapori was set up in 1991 by its five partners, who boast fifty years' experience in the fruit and vegetable field, and in particular, in the citrus sector.
Activity is centred around the preparation and marketing of strictly Sicilian fruit and vegetable products, specifically citrus fruit (oranges, ‘tacle', mandarins, clementines, lemons), peaches and nectarines, prickly pears and melons.
The citrus fruit comes mainly from the province of Catania, an area naturally favoured with particular climatic and environmental conditions, due to the temperature range between day any and night (which gives the oranges their distinctive red colour), and essentially, to its vicinity to the volcano Mount Etna.
