UMA CASANATURA is the agricultural project born from the Benni’s family belief that our home is the nature that hosts us. It is from this concept that in 2013, UMA CASANATURA was born, inspired by the principle that by respecting the specific characteristics of the territory and taking care of it with passion, the same will return us excellent, genuine and, above all, healthy products.
This dream becomes reality in the vast set of natural opportunities of the Italian region of Abruzzo, on a land of 31 hectares of biodiversity, located on enchanting hills, at about 400 meters above sea level, between the municipalities of Cellino Attanasio and Atri, in the Province of Teramo. The farm is embedded in naturalistic beauties of the territory such as the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga, the Reserve of Calanchi in Atri and the Cerrano Marine Park in the adjacent Adriatic Sea.
It is from this harmonic diversity of the territory, combined with a maniacal attention to the recovery and preservation of native biodiversity, a rigorous respect of natural growing processes to respect the organoleptic characteristics and preserve the beneficial properties of the products, and ultimately from the passion of the Benni family that the first products of UMA CASANATURA are born, such as Superior Extra Virgin Olive oils in the 5 versions proposed Monocultivar Leccino, Monocultivar Dritta, Monocultivar Tortiglione, Monocultivar Frantoio and DOP Pretuziano of the Teramane Hills; the Ratafia’, a liqueur typical of Abruzzo, made out of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and sour cherries prepared according to a traditional, family recipe; the Quince Jam and the tomato sauce “Sei Rosso” based on Pomodoro a Pera d'Abruzzo, and a high hand made selection of the tomatos, with no addition of any sort, pure, fresh tomato sauce.
