Created by the pioneer organic winemaker Derrick Neleman, in BODEGAS NELEMAN (SPAIN), we elaborate Organic – Vegan – Carbon Neutral wines inspired by the tastes of Mediterranean Spain.
Our winery is located in Casas del Rey, in the heart of the Natural Park Hoces del Cabriel (UNESCO W.H.)-Valencia. The very unique biodiversity and terroir of this area give our wines a very special character of authenticity.
We mainly farm indigenous varieties like Verdil, Tardana, Marselan, Monastrell, Bobal, Tempranillo, or Garnacha, which hark back to Spanish wine’s origins, together with the best international grapes. Although using traditional methods, we elaborate modern wines full of balance, richness and freshness with no excessive oak or over mature overtones.
Creativity is also seen in the wine labels where talented artists from around the world make the brand contemporary.
Ecologically responsible, a tree is planted in the nearby Parque Natural for every 173 bottles of wine sold.
The sustainability and climate change is also a big concern for us, so additionally, Natural cork and Helix screw corks are used both of which are 100% renewable, recyclable, and biodegradable.
Thanks to this innovative and sustainable approach to the craft of winemaking, Derrick Neleman, just got the Award for the Most Inspiring Entrepreneur of the Year in Netherlands, where he was born.
