Intense ruby red colour with purplish-blue glints.  The bouquet is generous, with pleasant notes of vibrant red berries, cherry, blueberry and plum. On the palate this wine shows its big personality. A harmoniuos, warm, round and well balanced blend with elegant tannins, great texture and long lasting smooth finish.
Excellent accompaniment to red meat in general.  Try it with veal, lamb and braised or barbequed red meats like steak, sausage and game. It goes well with aged cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano, too. Excellent with porcini mushroom risotto but also as a meditation wine.
